This is the only area of design where I have strayed from the world of complete gemstones and stepped into a world of glass. The cut glass in this set was found in Beijing, where I fell in love with its unique draw of color. All of the glass beads in my designs are cut at the same factories as gemstone beads, and are otherwise treated like actual gemstones. They are comparable in hardness to apaptite, rhodonite, charoite and obsidian (a natural glass).
